Three FY 22 NCHRP Problem Statements and NCHRP Synthesis Ideas were submitted by Committee Research Coordinators Thomas Mc Queen (GDOT) and Charles Edwards (UNC) supported by state DOTs.
The statements went through evaluation and ranking by AASHTO, FHWA, and NCHRP staff. Two sponsored and one cosponsored idea was selected, here are the topics submitted and selected:

- Co-sponsored Problem Statement Idea Project 08-158 Communicating the Value, Interactions, and Impacts of Freight to Stakeholders. The idea was sponsored and developed by Urban Freight Committee (AT025)
